We have had 3 trips to Ethiopia so far. In July 2004 we visited Addis primarily to coach Under-14s and get involved in some charity work with CONCERN and Save the Children.

Based on that success, we then followed up with our second & third trips to Mekele, in the Tigray province of Ethiopia in January & April 2006 - this time undertaking Coach Education and work with the local schools.

We are currently planning 4 th Trip to continue our coach Education Work in Makelle. This is likely to take place in January 2007 – details to follow.

In addition we have allocated funds to assist three good causes working in Tigray.

We have donated £4,000 to purchase 200 desks in Aderak School, a rural school very similar to the one we visited in Digum during Janauary 2006.

The school is being built by the African Children's Educational Trust, a Leicester/Ethiopia based registered charity who finance the sponsorship of kid's education and who are also building 2 schools in the region. www.a-cet.org.uk
